Plain language terms for using this site and the tools built here.

Last updated: February 2026

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using littlebearapps.com and any tools, software, or services provided by Little Bear Apps, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or tools.

These terms are written in plain language because legalese doesn't help anyone. If anything is unclear, get in touch.

About Little Bear Apps

Little Bear Apps is an Australian-based indie software studio operated by a single developer. We build privacy-focused developer tools, MCP servers, browser extensions, and Claude Code plugins. Most of our work is open source.

Use of Tools & Software

Our open-source tools are released under the MIT Licence. That means you can use, modify, and distribute them freely — including for commercial purposes. The MIT Licence governs your use of the source code.

All tools are provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep them working and well-tested, but we can't guarantee they'll be free of bugs or suitable for every use case.

If you find a bug, please report it on GitHub — we genuinely appreciate it.

Website Use

You're welcome to browse, read, and share content from this site. Please don't:

  • Scrape the site at a rate that affects performance for others
  • Attempt to access admin or internal systems
  • Use the site to distribute malware or spam
  • Misrepresent yourself as affiliated with Little Bear Apps

Standard, reasonable use is fine — you don't need to worry about normal browsing, linking, or sharing.

Intellectual Property

The Little Bear Apps name, logo, and branding are proprietary. The source code for our tools is open source under MIT, but the brand identity is not.

Content on this website (blog posts, documentation, design) is copyright Little Bear Apps unless otherwise noted. You're welcome to reference and link to it.

User Content

When you submit content through our contact form, leave feedback, or contribute to our GitHub repositories:

  • Contact form messages are used solely to respond to your enquiry
  • We won't share your messages publicly or use them for marketing
  • GitHub contributions are governed by the repository's licence (typically MIT)

Privacy

Your privacy matters. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what data we collect and how we handle it. The short version: minimal data, no tracking cookies, no selling data, ever.

Third-Party Services

Our tools and site rely on third-party services including GitHub, npm, PyPI, and Cloudflare. When you use these services (even through our tools), their own terms and privacy policies apply. We're not responsible for how third parties handle your data.

See our Behind the Scenes page for a full list of third-party services and what they can see.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Everything provided by Little Bear Apps — the website, tools, documentation, and services — is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We don't warrant that the site or tools will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Use them at your own discretion.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Little Bear Apps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or tools.

This includes (but isn't limited to) loss of data, loss of profits, or damages from relying on any content or tools provided here.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as our practices evolve. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top. For significant changes, we may provide additional notice on the site.

Continued use of the site or tools after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
